Death of Tietse 428


Last week stallion Tietse 428 passed away. Tietse 428 and Tsjabring 429 were the first stallions to be approved by way of the Short Test back in 2006. He had earned his referral on account of his fine results up to Grand Prix level in dressage with his rider Trea Mulder-Dolsma. Tietse 428 was bred by the late Marcus Doller from Haulerwijk. Tietse was a Reyert 337 son and half brother of the Preferent Leffert 306. They are both out of the Star Preferent Oepke 266 daughter Bontsje (line 128). Tietse 428 had his stud license withdrawn in 2011 on the basis of his Progeny Test. Tietse 428 has sired 755 offspring, from which 51 have received the Star predicate. Four of his offspring have acquired the Sport predicate. Tietse 428 died at the age of 20.
