The KFPS is an organization with various policymaking bodies, advisory and executive bodies and external committees. Here is a list of all the committees and councils that play a role within the KFPS.
The Governing Board has a policymaking function and is made up of the following persons:

Council of Members
The Council of Members has a controlling function and consists of representatives elected from among the members of each region. The Council of Members also has two internal committees:
1. Confidential Committee: Charged with selecting candidates to fill existing or upcoming vacancies in the board.
2. Finance Committee: Charged with conducting investigations into the KFPS financial matters on behalf of the board.

World Friesian Horse Organisation (WFHO)
The WFHO is the consultative body between the KFPS board and the boards of foreign associations. The board of the WFHO is made up of the chairperson and secretary of the KFPS, the three foreign members of the Council of Members and a representative from the German and North American associations.
Inspection, Jury, Performance Jury and passport consultants
Inspection: general tasks include formulating and implementing inspection policies that have to be determined by the breeding objectives and breeding and selection policy established by the Council of Members and stated in the studbook regulations.rld Friesian Horse Organisation
The Jury is charged with implementing of the inspection policy. The following persons are KFPS jury members:

The performance jury is charged with the ABFP- and IBOP-tests. The following persons are included in the Performance Jury: Reitse Faber (Dijken), Herman Smit (Arum), Gerard Vermunt (Emmeloord), Haike van der Meulen (Noordbergum) and Nella Bijlsma (Giekerk).
The team of passport consultants is charged with implementing the I&R regulations of the KFPS. The following persons are included in the Passport Consultans: Jaap van der Meulen (coordinator), Reitse Faber, Lammert Jager, Doede de Jong, Eppie de Jong, Geert de Jong, Obe Mous and Marten de Vries.
The Sports Council advises the board of the KFPS in regard to the sports objectives and sports policy within the KFPS. The following persons are included in the Sports Council: Oene Bosma (chairperson), Udo de Haan, Merel Groen, Martsje Bergsma, Maaike Teekens and Ria Hettinga.
The Breeding Council advises the board of the KFPS in regard to the breeding objectives and the breeding and selection policy within the KFPS. The following persons are included in the Breeding Council: Aat Both (chairperson), Willem de Boer, Waling Haijtema, Fer Smit, Jan van Weperen, Lourens van der Meer, Brandt Schaap and Jan Vriend.
Handles violations of regulations as established in the disciplinary regulations of the KFPS.

The disciplinary regulations provide a possibility to submit an appeal against a decision made by the Disciplinary Committee to the Appeals Committee. Committee: Mr. C.M. Telman, Mr. E.J. Kuiters, Mr. P. Tuinman.

Board of Appeals
The board of Appeals is charged, on behalf of the Council of Members, with the handling of and the pronouncing of judgment over an appeal lodged by a member against a decision made by the board.

Was established to advise the board in regard to complaints submitted in writing about the behavior of the board, committees, officials, the management and other KFPS staff as indicated in the KFPS complaints procedure established by the board.
