Investigation into relevant parameters to determine stamina and its relationship to body temperature among Friesian horses as a group as well as in relationship to other breeds and studbooks
The study started in 2010. A quotation was drawn up for a follow-up study. As based on the findings of the study, drawing up a training schedule within the context of training methods.

Organization and implementation of and interrelationship between various performance tests

The various performance tests conducted within the KFPS have various assessment criteria for sports potential. These criteria also differ from the criteria that are generally used in sports. Using uniform criteria and clarifying the interrelationship and interchangeability of test findings will make these findings transparent and will improve their usefulness.

Criteria for determining the character factors of a horse that are important for a sports horse
In addition to conformation, movement mechanism, stamina, health and longevity, the character of a sports horse is of great importance to its achievement. To be investigated are the next questions: 1) Which of these character factors are important?; 2) To what degree can objective criteria be drawn up for the purpose of establishing these desirable characteristics in a horse?
The various ongoing studies are being considered. Expected start: 2011/2012.
Incentive plan for getting the breed entered in national events
Draw up a promotional and incentive plan to get more equestrians on Friesian mounts into national dressage competition.
Evaluation of criteria for the sports predicate
Are the requirements for earning the sports predicate too difficult/easy to meet? Evaluation of the criteria is needed.
