That’s quite an assessment report to take home: 89 scores for both riding- and driving test and a whopping 93 points for the show driving test. These are the scores earned by Julius 486 (Norbert 444 x Beart 411) during his Central Examination in the United States in early 2015.
In 2011 Julius 486 was born as Jakob KCF at Jack and Margaret Vanderkooy’s Kettle Creek Friesians farm in Ontario. His great-granddam is Jildau Star Preferent (Oege 267) who sports 14 offspring, one of which is Studbook stallion Harmen 424. In 2005 Sjaak de Wit from Heemskerk purchased a half sister of this stallion: the Star mare Ursula H. (Rypke 321) who was bred by W. Henstra . ‘The first horse I bred from Ursula is Twirre van de Anne Hoeve Model (Beart 411). The next year she brought Wietske van de Anne Hoeve (Beart 411), who is Julius 486’s dam.’
At the age of three Wietske became Star with a second premium and was paired to Norbert 444. De Wit: ‘That winter I sold Wietske to Jack Vanderkooy. The next summer my wife and I travelled to the inspection in Canada where Jakob KCF was elected Foal Champion.’
As a 3-year-old Jakob KCF received the Star predicate and an invitation for the Central Examination. Towards the end of February he completed the test with 89 scores for both riding- and driving test and an amazing 93 points for the show driving test.
